The race would start with approximately 500 meters on the brand new Icahn Stadium track. The beautiful facility would host many track meets beginning in the spring of 2005 and hopes to attract some major events. The runners wait for the start of the race. They're off. The race included approximately 40 runners. This was the first time since 2001 that there was a USA Women's 8K Championship race.
