L-R: Jenny Barringer, Lindsay Flacks, and Caitlin Chock. |
Liza Pasciuto is in the midst of a spectacular freshman year at the University of Colorado. |
Virginia freshman Emily Harrison. |
Harrison finished 109th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in November, after qualifying as an individual. |
As a 12 year old, in 2001, Bria Wetsch won the Community 4K race that was held in conjunction with this meet, on this same course. |

Angelina Blackmon finished 208th at the NCAA Championships in November. Just getting to the meet as a freshman is a big accomplishment. |
Tori Tyler, 17, of Lost Altos, California, finished 27th at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships in December. |
Allison Kreutzer, 18, is a freshman at Clayton State. |
Butler freshman Sarah Kemple. |
Boston College freshman Lynn Kubeja (left) and Crystal Pitney, 14, a freshman at West Valley (AK) High School. |

She's not wearing a number, but our best guess is that this is Kaitlin Hurley, a freshman at William & Mary who is a native of nearby Portland, Oregon. |
Carlene Mayfield, 16, a junior at Keller High School in Grapevine, Texas, was a Foot Locker National qualifer in 2004. |
McKayla Plank, 17, of Los Gatos, California. |
Katie Fritzke, 16, of Weed, California, represents the Buffalo Chips Running Club. |
Jacqueline Lee, 17, of Granite Bay, California. |

Caitlin Chock, who (coincidentally) graduated from Granite Bay (CA) High School last spring, made a strong move around 5K to pull away from Liza Pasciuto. |
Chock, who now lives with her coach, Alberto Salazar, and is part of the Nike Oregon Project, looked like she was working hard, though. |
Chock may have gone too hard too soon, though, and she struggled in the final half mile. |
Liza Pasciuto, who raced with great maturity and helped her Colorado team win an NCAA Championship in November... |
...looked more relaxed with about 1,000 meters to go. |
