Dot McMahan, 28, of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project finished ninth in 1:13:31 and also qualified for the World Half team. Carly Graytock, 26, McMahan's Hansons-Brooks teammate, finished 11th in 1:13:41. Sopagna Eap, 24, of Team Eugene finished 12th in 1:14:30. Eap was a DII All-American for UC-Davis.

Judy Johnson, 28, of Manlius, New York, finished 13th in 1:15:05. Johnson is a 2000 graduate of Georgia Tech. Zika Palmer, 29, one of the founders of ZAP Fitness, finished 14th in 1:15:16. Palmer is a graduate of Emory University and was a 2004 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier.

Phelps, a former Foot Locker finalist and UConn star, now has a young daughter and has been tearing up the roads in New England recently. Molly Taber, 32, of Somerville, Massachusetts, and the Merrimack Valley Striders...
