The women from Arizona State finished fourth this year, with 191 points. (Illinois was fifth with 212). The team was led by Amy Hastings (second from left). They are coached by Louie Quintana (far right), a former high school national cross country champion and top runner for Villanova. The Duke women were favored to win the title this year. But as the Wisconsin men learned last year, nothing is ever guaranteed, especially in cross country.
