The race gets underway.	#49 Annie St. Geme, #42 Marie Lawrence, and #44 Kauren Tarver.	Bria Wetsch starts off near the back of the pack.	The field heads out on the two figure-eight loop 5K course.	Shortly after the half mile mark, defending champion Aislinn Ryan led the way, with Bridget Franek in second place.
A front-running strategy worked for Ryan in this race one year ago.	Marie Lawrence, Nichole Jones, Hanna Grinaker, Jordan Hasay, and Kauren Tarver follow. Shortly before the 1.5 mile mark, Aislinn Ryan continued to lead, with Jordan Hasay and Marie Lawrence following.	Ryan was the defending champion, Hasay, a freshman, was running in her first Foot Locker XC Championships, and Marie Lawrence had finished second in this race twice.	Ryan had finished second at the Northeast Regional after running well all season.
Hasay won the West Regional and tied Amber Trotter's course record.	Marie Lawrence finished second in the West Regional.	Megan O'Reilly (#43) and Nichole Jones (#21) lead a group of runners.	Bridget Franek (#35) and Hanna Grinaker.	Nicole Blood leads (L-R) Catherine White, Aurora Scott, Elizabeth Yetzer, and Danielle Tauro.
